Making more headway in the class of 2021, the Arizona Football team has gained yet another commitment, this time from three-star defensive end, Ja’Quez Harvey!

It’s been a very fortuitous few months for the Arizona Football team, and head coach Kevin Sumlin and the coaching staff deserve a ton of credit as they received yet another commitment, this time from three-star defensive end, Ja’Quez Harvey on Tuesday afternoon.

Taking to social media to announce his decision, Ja’Quez committed to Arizona despite offers from; Oregon, ASU, Utah, Colorado and Wazzu among others!

From first glance, this is very good pick-up for the Wildcats. Yes, Ja’Quez is a three-star defensive end in the class, but his offer sheet is impressive enough as it is, plus his resume speaks for itself!

Standing an impressive 6-feet-4-inches and weighing 245 pounds, he is considered the No. 1,349 overall player in the class, the No. 81 overall strongside defensive end and the No. 115 player overall from the state of California.

A standout from Alain Leroy Locke Senior High School in Los Angeles, CA, Harvey plays in a very talented and competitive league and is a two-way start for the Saints.

He is a big, strong kid with great size and athleticism, and that should be clear by the number of power five offers he has.

Coming in as the 19th commitment for the class of 2021, Ja’Quez is also the the fifth defensive lineman being added to the class. In case you needed anymore idea as to what Arizona’s priorities are recruiting this off-season, defense, especially along the defensive line is a major focus, and I really like the talent they’re adding here!

In Ja’Quez’s case, again he’s a big and strong kid with great athleticism. Mostly playing as upright end/ linebacker combo, that’s where I like him at the next level.

His size is ideal for that hybrid defensive end/ linebacker position, and seeing as how Arizona is moving to a 3-4 defense, that makes sense.

He is aggressive, showing great explosiveness off the line of scrimmage and is excellent at pursuing the ball carrier. He is an absolute bully when it comes to pressuring the quarterback, and with more development and coaching, he could be a good one!
