Three-star linebacker James Bohls commits to Arizona Football

With the Arizona Football season postponed, the Wildcats are still hitting the recruiting trail hard, picking up a commitment from linebacker James Bohls.

What do you do when you have your two best linebackers transfer? Well, if you are Arizona Football, you hit the recruiting trail hard. Luckily, it is paying off as three-star linebacker James Bohls commits to the Wildcats!

Making his announcement via social media, James picked the Wildcats despite also having offers from Boise State, San Diego State, Colorado State and Hawaii among others.

Listed at 6-feet and 195 pounds and as a running back from San Clemente High School (San Clemente, CA), James is actually going to come in at linebacker, and that’s a good move for us.

When you consider that the Wildcats are going to be thin at linebacker, getting a commitment like this will help, especially as we will need all the depth and talent that we can get at the position.

With the addition of James, this is a solid pick-up for the Wildcats as he becomes the 21st commitment in a quickly growing recruiting class.

Rated as a three-star linebacker, James is the No. 1,114 overall player in the class, and is the No. 94 overall player in the talented state of California.

James is certainly a great athlete, and the transition should be rather easy for him since he is a two-way player and will bring a lot of athleticism to the position.

On film, it’s hard to gauge too much, especially since he mostly played running back this last year, and he will now play linebacker.

He’s a very fast and athletic player, and after having played running back, he can get sideline-to-sideline very quickly. He possesses great vision and playmaking abilities.

With extra coaching and development, he’s going to be a special player! Just watch for yourself!
