Making his way from Estonia to the United States, incoming Arizona Basketball guard Kerr Kriisa will have big shoes to fill with the Wildcats!

We’re getting closer and closer to the projected start of the 2020-21 Arizona Basketball season and with all the incoming freshmen on campus, including Kerr Kriisa, things are getting more real.

In case you hadn’t seen it, earlier this week the Arizona Basketball team updated their online roster. The roster update now includes all the new, incoming players with their measurables, as well as their jersey numbers.

And a few things to note so far is the increased size of former Nevada transfer Jordan Brown, who now comes in at 6-feet-11-inches 240 pounds (up 30 pounds from the year before), Christian Koloko appears to be bigger as well, and Kerr Kriisa will wear No. 25, after his namesake, Steve Kerr!

Bold move, but hey, I feel if you are named after the former legendary Arizona point guard, you are almost obligated to wear his jersey as well.

However, with his decision to wear No. 25, Kriisa is going to have some big shoes to fill. Luckily for us, the Estonian guard seems to acknowledge the challenge, and is more than ready to compete and showcase what he can do.

Now while it is hard to say if Kerr (Kriisa) will be able to average 11.2 points and 3.4 assists per game for his career like Steve did, however, can’t help but think having a fiery competitor in Kriisa isn’t a bad thing.

If you may recall, he was a big part in the Estonian National team winning the Baltic Way Cup, averaging 17 points and shooting 48 percent from three.

As a reminder, he is a great shooting guard with good playmaking abilities, great facilitation skills and again, a fiery competitiveness that is going to win over Arizona fans quickly.

He is going to help the Wildcats’ backcourt this season, especially as the Wildcats recoup from losing Nico Mannion to the draft and Brandon Williams to play professional basketball as well.

Here’s a small preview of we can likely expect to come this season!
