No. 5 – Aaron Tevis

Position: Linebacker/ Defensive End
Class: 2007
High School: Canyon del Oro (Oro Valley, AZ)
College: Boise State

Coming in at No. 5 on the list is Aaron Tevis. The older brother to former Wildcat walk-on and standout Jared Tevis, Aaron was a standout player for the Boise State Broncos, appearing in 50 games totaling 175 tackles (78 solo), 14.5 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, seven interceptions and a defensive touchdown.

Now granted, I may be a bit biased with this selection, since Aaron was a high school teammate of mine, and I saw him do some incredible things on the football field.

However, when you have a two-way player that plays just up the road from you, and you see him dominate local Tucson High Schools like he did, the Wildcats made a huge recruiting mistake here by not offering him

It make it especially worse when his brother walked on later with the Wildcats, and became a collegiate star.

Instead, Aaron went on to Boise, put a heck of a collegiate career together before signing with the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent. He would be cut shortly after however, but his production in Boise speaks for itself, and Arizona not offering was a big mistake.
