Former Wildcats debut as Arizona Football remains sidelined

With College Football returning to action on Saturday, a few former Wildcats debuted as the Arizona Football team remains sidelined.

It is a weird year for College Football, especially as many teams kicked-off their seasons on Saturday with few or no fans in attendance. Everyone of course still feeling the economic and social impacts of Covid, and unfortunately for Arizona Football, they remain sidelined.

I know we have seemingly beat this topic to death and at this point, it seems unlikely that Arizona Football is going to have a season in 2020, nonetheless, we can still dream, right?

Well unfortunately for us, if the Wildcats were to have a season, it is going without a few key players.

As you may recall, we have highlighted the key departures this off-season, with some of course being related to the Cats having no football season this fall. Scottie Young, Jr. went to West Virginia, along with Tony Fields II, Brenden Schooler went to Texas, and Colin Schooler is now at Texas Tech.

Making their debuts on Saturday, were a few of our former Wildcats that stood out:

Fields II started with West Virginia at linebacker, leading the team with 10 tackles (4 solo), in the teams’ 56-10 win over Eastern Kentucky.

Brenden had two receptions for 65 yards and a touchdown in Texas’ 59-3 win over UTEP.

As for Colin and Scottie, unfortunately they did not make appearances with their respective teams just yet. However, it is early in the season.

While it is unfortunate for us to see our Wildcats succeed elsewhere, we have to accept it and just move one.

The Pac-12 has had terrible leadership from the start of this whole pandemic, and it is agonizing to see other schools play while the Arizona Football team remains sidelined.
