Reviewing how our former Wildcats did in Week 1 of the NFL

With Week 1 of NFL action already in the books, it is time to take a look and see how our former Wildcats performed with their respective teams.

The 2020 NFL season is finally here, and when you consider where we were just five-to-six months ago, it seems remarkable that we made it. It makes it even better that we get to cheer on some Former Wildcats.

With no Arizona Football season to likely happen in 2020, at least we get some football action to follow this year.

We may not have many in the league, however, on Sunday and Monday, we did get to see our Wildcats in action, and here is how they did!

Nick Foles (CHI) – Did not appear in the Bears’ 27-23 win over the Detroit Lions.

J.J. Taylor (NE) – Finished his day with four carries for 28 yards (7.0 avg.), with one reception for four yards in the New England Patriots’ 21-11 win over the Miami Dolphins.

Nick Folk (NE) – Went 0/1 on field goals, missing his only field goal attempt at 45-yards, but made it up by going a perfect 3/3 on Extra Points to help give the Patriots the 21-11 win.

Will Parks (PHI) – Unfortunately, Philly Will did not play in the Eagles’ opening game, as the former Wildcat safety is still recovering from an injured hamstring. He will likely be out 4-6 weeks.

Rob Gronkowski (TB) – In a highly anticipated reunion/ debut for Gronk and Tom Brady in Tampa Bay, it didn’t quite go as planned as Gronk just had just two catches (three targets) for 11 yards in the Buccaneers’ 34-23 loss.

Dane Cruikshank (TEN) – Did not play as the Titans’ safety will be on the Injured Reserved list until Week 4. The Tennessee Titans did come away with the 16-14 win over the Denver Broncos.

At Zona Zealots, we’re proud to see our Wildcats compete and can’t wait to see how they continue to play this season! As always, Bear Down, Arizona!
