In a year that has provided plenty of upsetting news, how about some good news as Arizona Women’s Basketball  head coach Adia Barnes adds a new family member.

After turning in one of their best seasons in Arizona Women’s Basketball history, head coach Adia Barnes has been following that up by having quite a busy off-season herself.

In case you haven’t been paying attention to what the Wildcats have been doing, coach Barnes is doing some big things in Tucson, and fans should be excited about what’s going on.

Even despite the team not being able to play in the NCAA Tournament due to Covid, Barnes and the Wildcats could be poised to have an even better run in 2020-21.

Not only does Aari McDonald return in what will be a highly anticipated senior campaign, but the Wildcats also bring in a few key recruits and transfers that should be make this team even more dangerous.

However, with all the good news surrounding the Wildcats currently, that all seemingly pales in comparison to the other news we got from Adia this off-season.

For those needing a reminder, Adia revealed to everyone just a couple of months ago that she was pregnant, and would be expecting her child sometime before the start of the season.

Well, that day is finally here, as Adia took to social media on Tuesday afternoon, announcing that she would be giving birth to her daughter.

Delivering her child at the University Medical Center, Adia and husband Salvo Coppa welcomed their beautiful daughter named Capri Barnes, who will join their five-year-old son, Matteo in the family as well.

In a time where we could certainly use a bit of good news right about now, who doesn’t love seeing the Wildcat family grow in size?
