As if the Arizona Football team needed more bad news this off-season, things are getting tougher, as linebacker Kylan Wilborn announces his transfer.

It has been a rather challenging and eventful off-season for the Arizona Football team, especially as they have seen their fair share of transfers in the past few months. So what could be worse then five transfers? How about six transfers? With linebacker Kylan Wilborn being the most recent.

Making news on Monday afternoon was that Wilborn took to social media to announce his intent to transfer.

While the news is unfortunate, honestly the timing of everything seems more confusing than anything, especially when you consider the major holes Arizona has at linebacker.

As you may recall, Arizona already lost Colin Schooler and Tony Fields II to the transfer portal just weeks ago, and given those losses, it seemed like Kylan had a great opportunity to not only start, but perhaps shine, much like he did his freshman season.

Unfortunately for us, Kylan doesn’t quite see it that way, as he will use his final year of eligibility elsewhere.

Speculate all you want on the reason for the transfer, but Wilborn’s production has certainly diminished after having quite the freshman season in 2017, and perhaps that may have played a factor here too.

However for Arizona, things get more challenging, especially on the defensive side of the football. Coming in, we already knew that this group was likely going to struggle this year anyways, and assuming the season resumes October 31, it becomes even more daunting, especially Arizona will be incredibly thin at linebacker.

The Wildcats are going to need a lot of answers at linebacker, and should they use a heavy influx of walk-on’s at linebacker, that’s going be a tough thing to overcome.

For Arizona, we must move on, and in the process, we wish Kylan the best as he finds a new team. As always, Bear Down, Arizona!
