With the Arizona Basketball team continuing to make progress in the recruiting class for 2021, four-star power forward DaRon Holmes has cut his list of schools to include Arizona!

It has been quite the busy off-season for Sean Miller and the Arizona Basketball program. After bringing in seven recruits for the class of 2020, their work isn’t done, especially as they now turn their attention to the 2021 recruiting class.

For those who haven’t been paying to the Wildcats this off-season, they’re already off to a solid start as they received a commitment from K.J. Simpson just over a month ago for the class of 2021.

However, their work continues as they are making progress with four-star power forward DaRon Holmes in the class of 2021 as well!

A standout at Monteverde Academy (Monteverde, FL), DaRon actually hails from Arizona, where he played at Millennium High School (Goodyear, AZ) from 2017-20, before recently deciding to transfer to Monteverde for his senior season.

Already he is considered one of the top prospects in the class, as he actually comes in as the No. 49 recruit in the class, and is the No. 13 overall power forward as well.

For those who don’t know who he is, DaRon is a big prospect with big game, especially as he has already garnered attention from some big time program. With offers from; Virginia, LSU, Marquette, ASU, UCLA, Tennessee and Arizona among others, it is clear to see why the Cats have made him a priority.

Well it seems as if Arizona’s hard work is paying off, as DaRon took to social media on Wednesday afternoon, announcing his top four schools which includes Dayton, Marquette, Cal and to our delight, Arizona!

Standing an impressive 6-feet-8-inches and 185 pounds, DaRon is very much a stretch four that has good length and versatility. He’s also a player that can drive to basket, score with his back to the basket, or pull up and shoot.

Physically, he is a player that isn’t maxed out yet, and could certainly add more size to his frame and be just as impactful! Need proof? At Millennium, DaRon averaged 18.9 points and 9.7 rebounds in his three seasons there according to Maxpreps!

DaRon is certainly a talented kid that would be greatly welcomed by Wildcat fans, should he decide to come here. Just watch for yourself!
