With the 2020 NBA Draft still a little ways away, things are heating up as the Arizona Basketball freshmen trio are projected to go in the First Round.

We’re one game down in the NBA Finals, which means that we are that much closer to finally getting to the long, anticipated NBA Draft. In this case, it finally means we learn where our Former Arizona Basketball trio is going.

It was a question many of us had wondered before Josh Green, Nico Mannion, and heck even Zeke Nnaji even arrived on campus. Where are these guys going to go after they leave Arizona?

Despite 2019-20 not quite being a year we had hoped for nonetheless, this talented trio is still projected to get to the NBA. And as we should know by now, it is that the NBA Drafts on projections and potential, rather than just strictly production.

Now granted, production does play a factor to a degree, however, the NBA is a league about talent and potential, and despite those failed expectations at Arizona from a win-loss perspective, that still doesn’t change the fact that Arizona had YOUNG and TALENTED players in Green, Mannion, and Nnaji.

With that said, Bleacher Report updated their 2020 Mock Draft, and according to them, all are supposed to go in the first round.

Projected to go No. 1 overall is former UCLA commit, and younger brother to former Pac-12 Superstar, Lonzo Ball who is supposed to go to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

In this projection, Josh Green is supposed to be the first Wildcat taken in the Draft at No. 16 overall to the Portland Trailblazers. To me, it makes sense, especially as I feel that Josh may have the highest upside among the Wildcats entering this draft.

After that, they have Zeke Nnaji going No. 25 overall to the Oklahoma City Thunder, and Nico Mannion rounds out the selection of Wildcats going No. 29 to the Toronto Raptors.

At Zona Zealots, we are curious to see how this draft pans out and can’t wait to see where our Wildcats end up! As always, Bear Down, Arizona!
