Finally some good news for the Arizona Football team as star offensive lineman Donovan Laie decided to change his mind on his intent to transfer.

Oh Happy Day, as the Arizona Football team finally received some good news for once! Less than 24 hours after star offensive lineman Donovan Laie announced his intent to transfer, he has now changed his mind.

In case you haven’t been paying attention, it has undoubtedly been a whirlwind of events for the Arizona Football team this off-season. From the Wildcats seeing their season postponed and reinstated, to the numerous players leaving via transfer.

As if things couldn’t get any worse this off-season, it seemed like the Wildcats finally hit rock bottom when star offensive lineman Laie announced that he was transferring on Tuesday afternoon.

Arguably Arizona’s best pro prospect on the roster, it was going to be a major loss, and you certainly couldn’t help but admit to the poor optics of it all.

Well luckily for us, it appears the football Gods are smiling down upon us, as barely 24 hours after his initial decision to transfer, Donovan decided to change his mind.

Making news via Social Media, Donovan took to Twitter to announce his decision, and we couldn’t be happier.

Beyond our own selfish ambitions in seeing Donovan stay, nonetheless, it is good to see him decide to come back and play with the Wildcats.

As it stands, the Wildcats will likely struggle this upcoming season, so they are going to need all the help and talent that they can get. Keeping a player like Donovan is important not only for increasing the talent level in Tucson, but for the sake of their perception as a program that can produce high level talent.

As I stated earlier, Donovan is arguably Arizona’s best pro prospect, and given the Wildcats’ lack of development and ability to get players to the NFL, he could be one of Arizona’s best chances in turning that around.

Plus he is a great offensive lineman that helps Arizona’s offense remain a strong, producing group!
