With the 2021 Arizona Football recruiting class quickly filling up, the Wildcats have added yet another, this time it is JUCO Defensive Back, Antonio Brooks.

If we have learned anything this off-season, it is that Arizona Football needs more talent, and lot’s of it. Luckily for us, it appears as though the coaching staff is fully aware that, and are making a lot of recruiting news, this time adding JUCO Defensive Back, Antonio Brooks.

Becoming the 24th commitment in the class, Brooks made his commitment public via social media on Sunday afternoon, picking the Wildcats over offers from; Baylor, Houston and Louisiana.

In addition to him becoming the 24th commitment, he also is the third junior college player taken in the class so far!

And make no mistake, this is a solid commitment for Arizona, especially since the Wildcats beat out some decent programs for Brooks.

Hailing all the way from the talented Kilgore Junior College in Kilgore, TX, Brooks played cornerback/ defensive back for the Rangers last season. But in 2021, I expect that to likely change.

Coming in at 5-10-inches and over 200 pounds, Brooks is listed at corner, however, I feel Antonio probably projects as more of a safety at the next level given his size, and luckily for us, that’s what it seems like could very well happen.

Additionally, coming into this off-season, it was clear that the Wildcats needed some serious help in the secondary, so adding another talented payer like Antonio made sense.

On film, he is a big, strong kid with good playmaking ability. I love the way this kid plays, possessing great eye discipline, never seemingly getting lost in the play.

He does a great job of reading the quarterback and making a play. He breaks well, pursue the football and puts himself in a position to succeed.

Additionally, he has some nice pop in his pads. When he takes the right angle, he makes the ball carrier pay!

Just see for yourself!
