CHICAGO, IL – Squaring off with the infamous Tom Brady in the NFL’s Thursday night game, former Wildcat Nick Foles once again shined bright in a 20-19 win!

Death, taxes, and Nick Foles owning quarterback Tom Brady on some of the NFL’s biggest stages. It is what we’ve been growing accustomed to these past few years.

Just a few years removed from the amazing run that Nick had with the Philadelphia Eagles, as you may recall, Nick helped the Eagles to top Tom in their Super Bowl LII victory.

Well on Thursday night, we were once again delighted as Foles squared off with Brady yet again!

With Nick under center again for the Chicago Bears, Foles needed to rebound in a big way, especially as he had a rather disappointing week in a Week Four loss to the Indianapolis Colts.

Taking on Tom and the then 3-1 Tampa Bay Buccaneers, it seemed destined that the Bucs were destined to come away with the win. And from the start, it looked as if they were in control, pacing themselves to a 13-0 lead with 7:03 to go in the second quarter.

That’s when Nick and Chicago would Bear Down, coming back to life in this one. Trailing 13-0, the Bear went on a 10-play, 75-yard drive which was capped by a three-yard touchdown run from David Montgomery.

After a Tampa fumble, just four plays later, Nick and the Bears would respond again, this time driving 27 yards on four plays, that ended in a Foles touchdown pass to tight end Jimmy Graham.

A few exchanged field goals later, and the Buccaneers went back up, leading the Bears 19-17 with 4:49 to go. That however left an opening for Foles and the Bears.

With 2:21 remaining, Foles and Chicago went on a nine-play, 32-yard drive that was capitalized by a 38-yard field goal from Cairo Santos to put them up 20-19.

Foles would finish the day 30-42 passing with 243 yards a touchdown and an interception, as Chicago would go on to win. With the victory, it adds to the mystique that is Nick Foles and his continued dominance against Brady.
