Ex-Wildcat Deandre Ayton appears on Jimmy Kimmel Show
Staying busy this off-season is former Wildcat Deandre Ayton, as he appeared on the Jimmy Kimmel Show with former NBA great, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
This is a rather big off-season for former Wildcat Deandre Ayton, especially as he enters his third season in the NBA, all with the Phoenix Suns.
Already Deandre has had a rather solid start to his career averaging 17.0 points and 10.7 rebounds per game in109 games that he has appeared in. However, Ayton will have a lot on his plate this off-season as he prepares for 2020-21 and beyond, looking to make that jump to the next level!

While basketball preparation and development continues for the ‘Bahamian Big Man’, nonetheless, it is good to see our former Wildcat get opportunities to stay in the spotlight.
Well, one of those opportunities came last night, when Ayton appeared on the Jimmy Kimmel Show, facing off head-to-head in a segment called “Generation Gap”.
Testing the participants on just general knowledge and pop-culture questions, the 22-year old big man had a particularly tough challenge, especially as he took on 73-year old and former NBA legend, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
Asking questions like; name this/these Tiger King(s)? Who sang the Do Wop Song at the Hop? and so on…
The segment only lasted but a few minutes, nonetheless, it was funny to follow and watch as the two went head-to-head. *Spoiler alert, Deandre did not win this one, perhaps a nod to Kareem’s “experience” being a factor in this one.
Ever since coming to and leaving Arizona, Ayton has been nothing but a friendly and cheerful individual, always seemingly attracting fun everywhere he goes.
And despite being the former No. 1 pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, Ayton often gets overshadowed by his fellow Draft Classmates like Luka Dončić and Trae Young.
Despite their immense success, Ayton is having a tremendous start to his career as well, so it is great to see him get exposure as well!
You can see the segment from Friday night here ->
At Zona Zealots, we’re glad to see Ayton continuing to stay relevant in the National Spotlight and hope he can continue to find success in all he does! As always, Bear Down, Arizona!
