The 2019-20 NBA Season is finally over, and that means the focus shifts to the NBA Draft, especially for the former Arizona Basketball freshmen!

It has been a particularly long year for seemingly everyone. And for the Arizona Basketball team, the NBA, and in particular our former freshmen Nico Mannion, Josh Green and Zeke Nnaji, that couldn’t be any further from the truth.

Despite an up and down season, our trio were destined for the NCAA Tournament, however, that unfortunately did not quite pan out as the season was cut short due to Covid.

Given Arizona’s luck over the last decade or so, naturally all three of the Wildcats’ freshmen would declare for the NBA Draft, leaving behind their once lofty College expectations.

Well, because of what had transgressed in the past few months, that also meant their NBA dreams had to be put on hold for awhile also.

With the NBA Draft normally taking place in June, who would have thought that we would be half way through October, and still have not had the Draft yet.

Well, luckily for us and our former Wildcat trio, the season is now over as the Los Angeles Lakers are the NBA Champions, which means that the NBA Draft will soon be happening.

Already, we have seen a few projections on where our Wildcats will go, with one of the latest Mock Drafts from Bleacher Report projecting Green, Nnaji and Mannion to all go in the first round.

Well fast forward a few weeks, and you are beginning to see more and more updated projections, with most of those projections having mixed Draft results. In the latest Mock Draft from Bleacher Report, Green is projected to go No. 16 overall to Portland, Zeke is projected to go No. 25 overall to Oklahoma City, and Nico has fallen out of the First Round.

Luckily for our former freshmen, they will soon now their fate, as the 2020 NBA Draft is set for November 18. And at Zona Zealots, we will wait anxiously! As always, Bear Down, Arizona!
