With Arizona Football expecting big things from receiver Jamarye Joiner, fans should also be excited about sophomore receiver, Jalen “Boobie” Curry.

It has been a long off-season for the Arizona Football program, and with not many fans or experts expecting big things from the Wildcats this year, perhaps we can be optimistic about sophomore receiver, Jalen “Boobie” Curry.

For those that don’t remember, Jalen is the former highly touted receiver from St. Pius X High School in Houston, TX from the 2019 recruiting class. He is also the former High School teammate to current Wildcat, Grant Gunnell.

Together the two did incredible things, creating one hell of duo over the past few years. And it was one of the main reasons why many (including myself) were so excited about the commitment of Curry and Gunnell.

Well, fast forward to now, and once again we may finally have the opportunity to see the dynamic duo on full display!

Already Gunnell is drawing a lot of pre-season hype and rightfully so, in addition to returning receiver, Jamarye Joiner. But unfortunately being lost in all that hype is Curry.

To me, I feel he could feasibly be Arizona’s No. 2 receiver this season, and also, given that he came to Arizona with a lot of hype, he will be getting plenty of opportunities to play this year.

What makes us so optimistic about that, is that he will finally be able to team up with his former High School teammate Grant, who is now the starting quarterback. So perhaps that could mean we may see big things from Curry.

In an interview following practice yesterday, he spoke about many things, from the upcoming season, why he came to Arizona, how he got got his nickname “Boobie” and how he models his game after star NFL receiver, Julio Jones.

Named after a family friend that had passed away, Jalen saw a great opportunity to win with the Wildcats, and even with Arizona not having high expectations, he felt he could help turn this program into a winner, and given his previous relationship with Gunnell, it made the choice easier.

Boobie has the talent and potential, and this year could be a big one for him. In case you need a reminder of just how good he can be, here you go…
