As Arizona Football prepares for the upcoming 2020 season, already the Wildcats will be without two key players who are out due to injury.

It has been an eventful off-season for Arizona Football, to say the least, and just in case we needed any more bad news, the Wildcats were delivered quite the blow personnel-wise.

Making news via Social Media on Monday was that both redshirt freshman Wide Receiver Jaden Mitchell and freshman Running Back Frank Brown have suffered knee injuries.

For Jaden, it was revealed that he had suffered yet another ACL tear, the second in his young career, and the news is absolutely devastating.

As you may recall, Jaden was the former standout receiver from Desert Pines High School in Las Vegas, NV that has had to wait in order to not only come to Tucson, but to also compete. Now he will have to wait even longer as he will have to recover yet again from such an awful injury.

Jaden is a young guy that has absolutely battled to get to where he is at, and despite having the opportunity to play this season and finally make an impact, his journey will have to continue on once again.

As for Frank, this one is especially devastating. While there is optimism that he can still potentially return this season, Frank is a dynamic playmaking running back that was likely going to have a big year for Arizona in his freshman season.

Already the Houston-area Native was turning heads this pre-season, so naturally, losing him for any extended period of time is going to be less than ideal for an Arizona team that is looking for major contributions virtually everywhere.

At Zona Zealots, we’re certainly bummed by the news and hope both players can come back healthy and ready to contribute. As always, Bear Down, Arizona!
