Arizona Basketball is nearly back in action, and soon the Wildcats will kick-off their 2020-21 season when they square off against Northern Arizona.

Good news Wildcat fans, the Arizona Basketball team is soon returning to action, and that is a good thing for us as we finally get to see our team in action.

Having not played a single game since March 11, as you may recall, the rest of the 2019-20 season was cancelled due to growing fear and concern over the Corona Virus pandemic.

With the season approved to start on November 25, the only question was who were the Wildcats going to play to begin the season.

Well fast forward to now, and we finally have a good ideas as our Cats will return to action.

Initially, it seemed like Arizona was going to begin their season on December 2 when they take on Colorado at home, however, that is actually not the case.

Making news yesterday, was that Arizona will actually begin their season on November 25 when they take on the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks. Reported by the Arizona Daily Star, this is news that should surely excite fans.

Pushing their game back from November 10, it looks like we get Wildcat Basketball even sooner than initially projected. It is also good to see the Wildcats essentially get a game where they can fine tune some things before diving into their conference slate of games.

With the Wildcats having 10 new players on the roster, having more time to gel and get into rhythm is a good thing, and the game against NAU provides that.

That’s not to say we should completely write off the Lumberjacks here, because as we should all know, anything can happen, and that is especially true for a team that is breaking in a lot of fresh faces.

However, if I am being honest, I am glad we are starting the season against NAU and not Colorado. Either way, I am excited for the return of basketball and can’t wait to see how this team performs.
