Arizona Football scores Offensive Line transfer, Davis DiVall
By Jordan Cuda
Continuing to make progress in their recruiting class for 2021, the Arizona Football has now scored a big transfer in Offensive Lineman, Davis DiVall.
It is great to see the Arizona Football team flourish in recruiting, it is even better when it happens to be with a player from your Alma Mater. Well on Monday, the Wildcats scored a big time commitment from former Baylor guard and former Notre Dame Prep standout, Davis DiVall.
In case you missed it, Davis made his announcement via Social Media on Monday afternoon, and this is an addition I am personally excited about.
Arizona Wildcats
For those that don’t know, Davis was originally committed to Baylor in the class of 2019 out of the talented Notre Dame Prep High School in Scottsdale, AZ. However, after spending his freshman season in Waco as a redshirt, Davis has since decided to transfer, and it is to our benefit.
The former standout from Notre Dame Prep is coming home, and his addition alone is going to address a position of need for the Cats, the offensive line.
As we should all know by now, it is that you can never have enough linemen, so if you’re Kevin Sumlin and the Wildcats, why wouldn’t you bring in a talented player like Davis if given the chance?
Coming in a very sturdy 6-feet-4-inches and 294 pounds, it is likely that Davis will come in as a guard, however, being the talented athlete that he is, it is quite possible the Cats could look at him as a tackle as well.
Coming in as a three-star transfer in the class, Davis is going to join fellow offensive line commits JT Hand and Luke Eckardt, and assuming he will be eligible next season, he is going to provide immediate depth.
Based on his film, Davis is a big, athletic and strong lineman with great instincts. On tape, he moves well, showing great ability in getting to the secondary level quickly or in pulling situations. He also possesses great physicality, engaging his blocks well, playing until the whistle.
Just see for yourself!
I may be biased, but I am excited about this addition, and I hope fans are as well. I’m just happy to see a fellow, former Saint coming to Arizona! Bear Down!
