With the Arizona Basketball team having to wait a bit longer to start the 2020-21 season, they will have to wait even longer for freshman Kerr Kriisa.

Monday was certainly a busy day for Arizona Basketball, as first the Wildcats found out their Wednesday game against NAU will be postponed. But in case that wasn’t enough, we have now all learned that we will be without incoming freshman guard, Kerr Kriisa for a little bit too.

As you may recall, Kerr is the standout guard that hails from Estonia, who committed to the Wildcats in the class of 2020. And coming into this season, there has been plenty of hype surrounding his abilities and skill.

However, despite all that hype, it seems we will have to wait a bit longer before we can see what he can truly do with the Wildcats.

Additionally, with Arizona’s game against NAU being postponed, and Kriisa still not being cleared by the NCAA yet, we have now also learned that he will actually be heading back to his home in Estonia.

However, have no fear though, as Kerr is just going back to play in a Tournament with the Estonian National team.

Perhaps oddly timed, the Tournament will just last only but a couple of games and it is a great opportunity for him to play with his National team. However biasedly, I know we would all love to see him play here and get some key developmental opportunities against some opponents over here.

Either way, I guess we can consider ourselves lucky it is just for a few games, and by all accounts, it seems he will be back after the two games in Estonia.

For Arizona, now it’s just a matter of time for him to get cleared. Kerr is a talented guard with a lot of potential, and he is a kid that will likely be depended upon heavily this season.

At Zona Zealots, we’re hoping Kerr can be cleared quickly and can’t wait to see what he can do with the Wildcats! As always, Bear Down, Arizona!
