It has been a busy few days for the Arizona Football team, as the Wildcats have now secured a commitment from Colorado transfer Jason Harris.
Over two weeks on the job, and Arizona Football head coach is doing absolute wonders for the program. He’s already brought in a tremendous staff for 2021, but now he’s putting in work on the recruiting front, adding Colorado transfer, Jason Harris.
Does the name sound familiar? Well, it should, Jason was the star football player from Higley High School in the Phoenix area and is the son of former Sean and Cha-Ron Harris. He is also the younger brother to current player, Jalen.
Arizona Wildcats
After a disappointing recruitment for Arizona that ultimately ended in Jason going to Colorado, well, thanks to the Wildcats’ recent coaching moves and the transfer eligibility changes due to Covid, and Jason is coming home!
Announcing his decision via Social Media, the former star in-state athlete will be joining his brother in Tucson, and more importantly, keeping the Arizona lineage in the family.
The news is huge for the Wildcats, especially as they desperately need help on defense. Even better, is that this news is coming on the heels of Trevon Mason, JB Brown, and Aaron Blackwell all announcing that they will be returning for 2021.
For newly hired Defensive Coordinator Don Brown and Defensive Line Coach, Ricky Hunley, the addition of Jason is great. He’s a dynamic and talented 6-foot-7-inch 240-pound outside linebacker/ defensive end.
Jason is a tall, long, and athletic kid that can be used in multiple spots on the field. His frame would allow him to add more weight, plus, he has decent explosiveness and footwork that could allow him to have an advantage when creating pressure in the backfield!
Just look at his highlights from high school!
At Zona Zealots, we are excited about the addition and can’t to see him suit up in Tucson! As always, Bear Down, Arizona!
