Just two weeks on the job, and Arizona Football head coach Jedd Fisch has had a tremendous day on the recruiting trail for 2021.

Thursday afternoon was a huge day for the Arizona Football team, as barely just two weeks into the Jedd Fisch era in Tucson and the new head coach had perhaps his best day on the job yet.

Coming in, he was not going to have an easy job. Not only was he going to have to win over the fans, but more importantly win over the minds of players, several which had already decided to enter the transfer portal to explore their other options.

However, before he could do that, he first needed to secure a solid staff, and make everyone believe his vision.

Bringing in coaches like DeWayne Walker, Brennan Carroll, Chuck Cecil, and Ricky Hunley among others, Fisch has brought in a lot of talent, and as well have found out now, his staff will be rounded out with the hiring of defensive coordinator, Don Brown.

But what about recruiting? Well, since then, the focus has been on recruiting, and already the Wildcats are having a ton of success.

Just days ago, the Wildcats secured the commitments of Northwestern transfers Gunner Maldonado and Drake Anderson and Colorado transfer Jason Harris, but the recruiting victories don’t stop there.

Fisch was able to convince JB Brown, Aaron Blackwell, Myles Tapusoa, Trevon Mason, and Anthony Pandy all to return for another season, but he was also able to convince Jamarye Joiner, Boobie Curry, and Ma’Jon Wright to return as well!

And in case you were tired of winning, Fisch had one more surprise on the day, a commitment from former four-star corner and Notre Dame transfer, Isaiah Rutherford.

While it is hard to say just how successful Fisch and Arizona will be this coming season, however, there is no denying he and this staff are doing a tremendous job to turn this thing around.
