With the Arizona Football staff nearing completion, Coach Jedd Fisch hints that former Wildcat Brandon Sanders will be joining the coaching staff in some capacity.

It has been a fortuitous couple of weeks for Arizona Football as head coach Jedd Fisch has been assembling a tremendous staff in Tucson. However, things are not finished just yet, as former Wildcat Brandon Sanders will soon be joining the team.

Hinting at his hiring via Social Media, Coach Fisch sent out another cryptic tweet on Friday evening that had Sanders pictured on the back of a Milk Carton. Titled ‘Missing’, it also featured the date last seen, in this case, his last game played at Arizona.

Given Coach Fisch’s Social Media habits, there’s no doubting that Brandon will be joining the staff, the question is in what capacity?

Already, he and the Wildcats are expanding their staff compared to previous years, and the more aggressive approach is smart, considering Arizona will have to pull out all the stops if they are going to compete not only in the State but in their Conference and Nationally as well.

My guess is Brandon will likely become the Coordinator for Football Alumni and High School Relations, which is a newer position posted this year by the Athletic Department.

A former standout at the University of Arizona and in the NFL, Brandon is a well-connected guy who has continued to make a name for himself here in Southern Arizona.
For those that don’t know, Brandon coached here locally at Pueblo High School, coaching the Warriors from 2014-19, compiling a 41-22 record in six seasons.

Before that, Sanders also coached at Pima Community College and Catalina Foothills High School before coaching at Pueblo.

He was set to become a defensive back coach with the Tucson Sugar Skulls last year, unfortunately, that never came to fruition, as their season was derailed by the ongoing threat of the Corona Virus.

Well now, it looks like the Wildcats will be able to add Brandon to their staff and this will certainly be a welcomed addition by fans!

Already, Fisch has added former Wildcats in Chuck Cecil and Ricky Hunley, so why not bring in another legend into the fold.
