With weeks until National Signing Day, Arizona Football has added a Preferred Walk-on commitment for 2021, from three-star lineman Jaxon McBride.

Things are heating for Jedd Fisch and Arizona Football in the Ol’ Southwest, as the Wildcats are rounding out their 2021 recruiting class with National Signing Day quickly approaching. Their latest addition is current in-state lineman Jaxon McBride.

Considered a three-star recruit in the class, Jaxon is the standout offensive tackle from just up the road in Queen Creek, AZ at Casteel High School.

Despite having an offer from Northern Arizona and receiving interest from Ole Miss, Coach Jedd Fisch kept true to his word in prioritizing the state of Arizona and keeping the top talent at home.

Rated as the No. 35 overall player according to 247Sports, Jaxon took to Social Media on Monday evening to announce his commitment as a Preferred Walk-on.

A bit of an underrated kid in the class of 2021, Jaxon stands a massive 6-foot-7-inches and over 290 pounds. He has great size and athleticism and given Arizona’s needs along the offensive line, this addition makes a lot of sense.

Coming in, he will have a great opportunity to continue to learn, grow, and develop, and who knows, with continued coaching, perhaps Jaxon becomes a solid contributor along the offensive line.

To me, the Wildcats got a good one here, and the addition is a smart move by the Wildcats in continuing to attack the state in recruiting. This is a big kid with solid footwork and skill, and based on his film, he has enough size and versatility to play at either tackle spot, or even in the interior as a guard.

He shows decent athleticism and explosiveness off the line with good hands and maintains blocking responsibility well. He does look like he could use some improved techniques, but overall, the raw potential is there.

Just see for yourself!
