Making more headway in the recruiting class of 2021, Arizona Football has added a big-time transfer in Western Michigan’s Treshaun Hayward.
In case you thought newly hired Arizona Football head coach Jedd Fisch wasn’t having enough of a successful off-season thus far, how about adding the former Mid-American Conference Defensive Player of the Year in Treshaun Hayward?
Well, with over a week until National Signing Day, coach Fisch and the Wildcats are putting on the full-court press in finalizing a recruiting class for 2021 while also significantly upgrading the level of talent.

Luckily for us, with the recent addition of Treshaun, the Wildcats are getting a good one.
Making his announcement via Social Media, Treshaun is considered to be one of the better players in the transfer portal this off-season and was the former MAC Defensive Player of the Year in 2019.
Coming in, Treshaun has immediate eligibility for 2021, and with Arizona’s defensive needs, he is going to get a great opportunity to not only play early on but also make a significant impact too.
For those who don’t know who he is, let us quickly get you up to speed. Treshaun is the sturdy 6-foot-1, 235-pound kid that originally hails from Ypsilanti, MI, and was a standout linebacker with Western Michigan these past few years.
Considered a tackling machine with the Broncos, Treshaun has totaled 238 tackles (128 solo), 16.5 tackles for a loss, and 5.0 sacks in his career and that kind of production should be greatly welcomed next season.
He will pair nicely with returning linebacker Anthony Pandy, Rourke Freeburg, Derick Mourning, and Kwabena Watson along with the slew of incoming recruits for 2021.
His presence alone immediately improves the depth and talent at the position, and his addition is a great testament to the amount of work Fisch and staff have done.
Here’s just a small preview of what we can expect from Treshaun…
At Zona Zealots, we are excited about the addition of Treshaun and cannot wait to see what he can do. As always, Bear Down, Arizona!
