With Arizona Basketball still recruiting for 2021 and beyond, Sean Miller and the Wildcats are targeting Big Man and Michigan State de-commit, Enoch Boakye.

We are quickly approaching the end of the 2020-21 Arizona Basketball season, and with no postseason in play for the Wildcats, their focus will slowly transition to the off-season. One of Arizona’s main focuses heading into the off-season may be Enoch Boakye.

A Canadian-born center and standout basketball player that hails from George Harris Prep in Mississauga, Ontario, Boakye is the former Michigan State commit who recently de-committed from the Spartans.

"In his interview with Sports Illustrated following his decision, Boakye said, “This was hard to do because just going on the visit (MSU), I really loved everything about it. What I’m learning now is that I have to make a business decision too. It’s got to be the right fit for me in every way, so I’m opening it back up to get the best decision.”"

Currently rated as a four-star recruit in the class of 2022, Enoch is considered to be the No. 32 overall player for ’22 and the No. 4 overall center according to 247Sports. With his de-commitment, there are now talks of him even potentially reclassifying to 2021.

Boakye currently holds offers from nearly all the major schools including UCLA, Texas Tech, Texas A&M, Michigan State, and Houston among numerous others.

Enoch will be a hot commodity this off-season, however, could the Wildcats and stand to benefit?

Already, he has a great relationship with the Arizona coaching staff and given Arizona’s need for more offensive consistency and defensive presence in the post, naturally, this recruitment makes a lot of sense for the Wildcats.

He stands a massive 6-feet-10-inches and 240 pounds with great size and an ability to get even bigger. Boakye has good hands, good body control and a nice touch around the rim. With continued development, he is going to be a good college player.

Just see for yourself!
