Gronk vs Bruschi Spring Game on deck for Arizona Football

With Spring Football quickly approaching for Arizona Football, the Wildcats will have honorary coaches Tedy Bruschi and Rob Gronkowski in attendance. 

As we now enter into March, that means we are another day closer to seeing Arizona Football return to action, and it should be an eventful Spring for the Wildcats too, as we’ve all learned that former Wildcats Tedy Bruschi and Rob Gronkowski will be participating.

According to the Arizona Daily Star, it was announced yesterday that former Wildcats Gronk and Tedy will serve as honorary coaches in the upcoming Spring game for Arizona which is good news for fans.

With first-year head coach Jedd Fisch still trying to build hype around the program and the upcoming 2021 Football season, what better way to showcase the team than to feature arguably the two most successful and accomplished football alumni in program history?

As of now, there are no specific details regarding the game, or if it will indeed be Team Gronk vs Team Bruschi, but having them both back will surely be welcomed by many.

Gronk is coming off yet another Super Bowl-winning season in which the former Wildcat tight end saw a career resurgence of sorts after “retiring” in 2019. Teaming up with old quarterback Tom Brady, the dynamic duo teamed up with a new organization, helping lead the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to an exciting, 31-9 Super Bowl LV win over Kansas City.

As for Bruschi, the former Wildcat star is expected to join the Arizona Football staff for 2021 as a Senior Advisor to the Head Coach in a part-time capacity. He is still expected to be working with ESPN as an NFL Analyst during that time as well.

Currently, the Spring game is scheduled for April 24, and Spring practices will begin on March 23. Let the festivities soon commence!
