Continuing to make moves in the recruiting class of 2022, Arizona Football has added Maine-based athlete, Jermaine Wiggins, Jr.

Just in case you thought things were slowing down for Arizona Football on the recruiting trail, the Wildcats have added another player for the class of 2022 in Maine-based athlete, Jermaine Wiggins, Jr.

Receiving a commitment on Friday afternoon, Jermaine is the son of former NFL Tight End Jermaine Wiggins, and he becomes the fourth commitment in the class of 2022 for the Wildcats.

A standout athlete from Bridgton Academy in Bridgton, ME, Jermaine is currently an unrated recruit in the class and was a recruit in the class of 2021 from Central Catholic in Lawrence, MA before using a final year of eligibility at Bridgton Academy.

Committing to the Wildcats over offers from Marshall, Rhode Island, and Middle Tennessee State among others, Jermaine was even recruited by Arizona Defensive Coordinator, Don Brown when he was back at Michigan.

Granted, Jermaine is largely an unknown recruit at this point, however, he is a quickly rising recruit in the class of 2022, and he is a standout athlete that can either come in as a tight end or even as a defensive end for the Wildcats.

For starters, he comes from great stock, as his dad Jermaine Sr. was a standout tight end for seven seasons in the NFL, playing for a few different teams. It seems he has passed some of that talent

Standing a massive 6-feet-4-inches and 230 pounds, Jermaine is a big kid that can even add more size, and perhaps be effective for the Wildcats as an outside edge rusher. Given Arizona’s infinite needs along the defensive line, that is where I see him coming in.

Jermaine is a good athlete with good flexibility, strength, and size. With continued development and coaching, and he can be a solid addition for Arizona.

Just watch yourself!
