Dalen Terry to try out with the USA Basketball U-19 team

Staying busy this off-season, Arizona Basketball wing Dalen Terry will soon have a chance to try out with the USA Basketball U-19 team.

It has been a busy off-season for Arizona Basketball as the Wildcats have not only gone through a coaching change but have dealt with plenty of roster turnover as well. However, also staying busy this off-season is Wildcat Dalen Terry.

After a freshman season in which the Phoenix native finished the year averaging 4.6 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game, Terry announced he would be coming back. Despite the coaching change, this is a big thing for the Wildcats, as Dalen has a lot of potential.

If you may recall, Dalen came in as a Top 30 player in the class of 2020, and as we watched this past year, he is a talented guard, however, it was also clear that he needs more time to grow and develop. That is why this off-season will be an important one for him.

Already getting acclimated to head coach Tommy Lloyd, he is also making a big splash by competing in some exciting pick-up basketball up in Phoenix.

But the work won’t stop for him as he will now compete in some more basketball this off-season. Come next month, Dalen will officially try out with the USA U-19 Team.

The news of Terry’s invitation broke via social media, and we are excited for him. Should he make the team, it is going to be a great opportunity to compete against some of the best in the country, and it will give him a chance to get better.

To me, Dalen could have a huge role with the Wildcats next season and he will be one of the key pieces for next season and beyond.

And just in case you need a reminder of the potential that Dalen has, here is a reminder.
