With the 2021 Arizona Baseball season winding down, the Wildcats look to finish strong as they seek their first road series win over OSU since 2012.

2021 has been a solid year for Arizona Baseball, and as the season winds down, the Wildcats look to finish the year strong as they wrap up Pac-12 play against the Oregon State Beavers.

Already, the Wildcats have had a good series, winning the first game by a 12-4 final. Chase Silseth was dominant in game one, throwing six, strong innings surrendering six hits and four runs while striking out six hits.

Offensively, Arizona was dominant, combining for 12 runs on eight hits. The Wildcats also belted three home runs in that game to help deliver the win.

However, in game two, the outcome was completely different. Arizona struggled to manufacture runs, scoring just one run on five hits. The Beavers on the other hand were able to just do enough offensively to steal the win.

Coming into game three, the challenge will on as Arizona Baseball looks for its first series win in Corvallis in 2012.

Over the past few years, the Beavers have not only been the standard in the Pac-12 but in College Baseball in general. While OSU may not be having the season they’re typically used to, they are still a team likely making the NCAA Tournament this year, and they have a lot of talent.

If Arizona hopes to prove itself as a legit title contender in 2021, this series is an important one. Finishing strong is vital for their postseason success, and the last time the Wildcats won in Corvallis, Arizona won the National Championship.

Game Notes:

  • Today’s Game is set for 5/23 at 12 PM at Goss Stadium at Coleman Field (Corvallis, OR).
  • The Game can be followed on the Pac-12 Network.
  • The game Forecast is Cloudy with a high of 64°.
