After putting his name into the transfer portal, former Wildcat Jordan Brown is officially transferring to Louisiana Lafayette for 2021-22.

It has certainly been a busy off-season for Arizona Basketball and with the Wildcats still seeing a bit of roster turnover, Jordan Brown is one of the most recent Wildcats on the move.

As you may recall, it was just weeks ago that the former Nevada big man announced his transfer from Arizona, this just despite spending just one eligible season in Tucson.

Well, not long after exploring his options in the transfer portal, Brown is officially out. His next destination? Down South in Louisiana, where he will play for Louisiana Lafayette next season.

While the move is surely a peculiar one, the news of his transfer broke via social media on Friday afternoon.

For 2021-22, Brown was expected to potentially have a sizeable role, especially considering that he looked solid last year averaging 9.4 points and 5.2 rebounds per game in 26 games (11 starts). But I digress.

Either way, it is likely Arizona may continue to see some changes before the starts, and already there has been a lot of movement on the roster.

Coming into the 2021 season, Arizona Basketball should still have a fairly talented roster, even if Jordan Brown is no longer with the team.

Arizona largely returns their core of talent from last year, and as long Azoulas Tubelis, Dalen Terry, Benn Mathurin, Christian Koloko, and Kerr Kriisa all make a jump, the Wildcats will be a very competitive group next season, even with Brown gone.

Overall, it should be an interesting season to follow as Tommy Lloyd gets adjusted to not only being in Tucson but being a head coach as well. He inherited a team that was projected to be in the Top 20, the challenge will be on, however, as he looks to guide the Wildcats to the NCAA Tournament (assuming the Cats are eligible).

As for Brown, we wish him the best and hope he continues to find success wherever he goes!
