Arizona Football will allow 100 percent capacity in 2021
With the 2021 Arizona Football season quickly approaching, the Wildcats will have a return to normalcy, allowing for 100 percent fan capacity.
It has been one hell of a year for Arizona Football. After a year in which the Wildcats went winless for the first time in program history even in an abbreviated season, saw zero fans in the stands, and replaced Kevin Sumlin, there was no shortage of news or headlines.
Well, so far in 2021, it has been an interesting start to the year as well. The Wildcats have had plenty of roster turnover, have brought in a first-time head coach, and are working drastically to revive this program.
Arizona Wildcats
As we saw over the past couple of years, the Wildcats’ culture was off. Whether it was due to the poor results on the field, the disconnect between the program and fans, poor development and coaching, or perhaps a combination of all those things, either way, the change comes with good timing.
So far, things are looking positive, however, there is still a long way to go if Jedd Fisch and the Wildcats are to turn this thing around. And to me, it starts with the fans.
As Arizona Football suffered through a rough 2020 season in which no fans were allowed in attendance, a sense of normalcy will soon be returning to Tucson.
Making news on Wednesday afternoon, the school announced that they are planning on going back to 100 percent capacity inside Arizona Stadium for the 2021 season, with tailgating resuming as well.
According to Arizona Athletics, they will “continue to follow the University of Arizona’s administrative directive for masks and face coverings on campus with regards to football fan attendance in the Fall.”
The move is great news for the Wildcats, and if Arizona is to turn things around it starts with the fans getting behind Fisch and the team.
