With Chase Silseth on the mound, the veteran starter ran into some early trouble once again, as Ole Miss plated three runs in the first inning.
Luckily, Chase would settle down and find a nice groove eventually, but he would be replaced by Cooper who came on in the fifth inning for Arizona.
Cooper would pitch the next two and two-thirds innings, holding the Rebels hitless before being replaced by Dawson Netz and eventually Vince Vannelle who also held the Rebels to zero hits.
As a group the Wildcat relievers shut things down over the next four-plus innings, keeping Ole Miss’ potent offense at bay.

Despite falling behind 3-0 early, Arizona was unfazed in this one as they responded with a Donta Williams home run in the first, followed by another solo shot, this time from Tony Bullard in the second to make it 3-2. Bullard wouldn’t be done though.
Just two innings later he would come up big again, as the sophomore slugger would blast another solo shot in the fourth tying things up for the Cats.
Tied 3-3 in the fifth, Arizona would belt another home run, their third of the game, as this one came from their Golden Spikes semifinalist Jacob Berry. The star freshman blasted a massive, two-run shot to center, giving the Cats their first lead of the day.
Arizona would get an insurance run in the sixth, followed by three more runs in the eighth, when Williams roped a three-run double down the left baseline, making it 9-3.
Williams and Bullard would lead all Wildcat batters as they would go 3-5 and 3-4 from the plate respectively, with a combined six RBI’s.
