Arizona Basketball: Dalen Terry misses cut for USA FIBA
Despite his best attempt at making the USA U19 FIBA World Cup team, current Arizona Basketball star Dalen Terry just missed the roster.
It has been a busy summer for soon-to-be sophomore Dalen Terry, as the budding Arizona Basketball star tried out for the USA U19 FIBA World Cup Team.
After a season that delivered mixed results for the then true freshman, Terry has been focused on improving his game and taking it to the next level before training with the Wildcats ahead of the 2021 season.

After all, current teammates Azuolas Tubelis and twin brother Tautvilas Tubelis were named to the Lithuanian preliminary roster for the U19 World Cup, and Omar Ballo (Mali) and Bennedict Mathurin (Canada) could be there as well.
However for Terry, the competition was stiff, and after giving it his best attempt, the Phoenix native just missed the cut for the final roster. Terry was just one of 26 players that were in Fort Worth trying out for the team.
The current roster was cut to just 17 players, and will again be reduced to 12 when the team officially departs for the Tournament at the end of June.
As for budding Arizona Basketball star Dalen Terry, the journey isn’t over, and his work just ahead of the 2021 season starts now.
This past year, Dalen showed a lot of promise. Appearing in 26 games and starting in 14, the lengthy guard/wing averaged 4.6 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.5 assists with a season-high 13 points and four rebounds coming in a win over ASU.
For this season, Terry is going to be a key focal point of the Wildcats, and so far, the former Hillcrest Prep star has been putting in a lot of work this off-season. To me, he has a lot of talent and potential that we have yet to see, and I think he makes a significant jump from last year.
