With Oral Roberts transfer Kevin Obanor being a highly sought-after transfer, Arizona Basketball makes his final list of schools.

About a week ago, head coach Tommy Lloyd said he wasn’t going to recruit anyone unless he felt they were going to immediately help this team, and with the 2021-22 season quickly approaching, Arizona Basketball is making another recruiting push, this time for Oral Roberts transfer, Kevin Obanor.

In case you didn’t know, Kevin is the standout forward from Oral Roberts that exploded last year after having a monstrous season and helped lead the Golden Eagles to the NCAA Tournament last year.

He also had one hell of a tournament as the Houston native scored 30 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as 15-seeded Oral Roberts knocked off No. 2 Ohio State, and then registered another 28 points and 11 rebounds as they also knocked off Florida.

Well, with one season of eligibility left, Kevin recently put his name into the transfer portal, and naturally, given his ability and production, he has virtually every school calling.

Should he come to Arizona, he would come in as a graduate transfer and would immediately impact several schools, which is why the Wildcats has been heavily recruiting Obanor.

Well on Saturday, Kevin Obanor took to social media to announce his Top 10 schools, which includes Arizona Basketball.

A bruising 6-foot-8-inch, 225-pound forward, Kevin is a strong inside-outside player that can score and defend at all three levels.

Appearing in 28 games with the Golden Eagles last year, Kevin finished averaging 18.7 points and 9.6 rebounds per game all while shooting 50.3 percent from the field and 46.3 from three.

If he were to come to Arizona, he would help provide immediate depth to the Wildcats’ frontcourt and would be a great compliment to Azuolas Tubelis. Potentially playing the four while Tubelis could perhaps slide to center and allow Arizona to spread the floor, he provides a lot of versatility.

Kevin will soon decide, and we will see if Lloyd and Arizona are able to get him to come to Tucson. Here’s just a little preview of what the Wildcats could potentially be getting.
