In-state lineman Isaiah Johnson picks Arizona Football
Making more noise in the class of 2022, Arizona Football added its second commitment on Tuesday, adding in-state defensive lineman, Isaiah Johnson.
Tuesday was a busy day for Arizona Football, and just hours after receiving a commitment from TJ Hall, Jedd Fisch and the Wildcats got their second commitment on the day from Isaiah Johnson.
An in-state lineman from the talented Chandler High School from just up the road, Isaiah took to social media on Tuesday evening to make his announcement, officially picking the Wildcats over offers from Colorado, Utah State, and Idaho.

Coming into the off-season, coach Fisch said he was going to prioritize recruiting in the state of Arizona, and after being on the job for seven months, he has done well, now adding his fourth player in the class from the Grand Canyon State. He has also received commitments from arguably the three most talented high schools in the state.
Arizona Football continues to dominate in recruiting the state of Arizona with the addition of Isaiah Johnson.
Isaiah currently has no star rating, however, he is considered to be the No. 28 overall player from Arizona and is the No. 181 overall at his position according to 247sports. I imagine once all is said and done, he will be a three-star recruit.
A big and strong kid, Isaiah stands an impressive 6-feet-2-inches and 275 pounds and he helps continue to bolster the defensive line for the Wildcats.
Over the years, Arizona has had struggles in producing a serviceable pass rush, and with the addition of Isaiah, hopefully, he changes all of that.
A standout at Chandler High School, Isaiah is a versatile athlete that mostly lines up as an interior defensive lineman. He uses his strength and size well and is explosive off of the line of scrimmage.
He does a great job in generating pressure and creating disruption in the backfield, and he also packs a lot of power, punishing the ball carrier when given the opportunity.
