With the 2021 Arizona Football season just a couple of months away, receiver Ma’Jon Wright is officially returning to the Wildcats.

The 2020 Arizona Football season is long in the rearview mirror at this point and for good reason, as the Wildcats went winless for the first time in program history. However, one of the few bright spots from last season was Ma’Jon Wright.

Originally a three-star receiver from Florida, Ma’Jon came to Tucson last year with plenty of talent and upside, and it didn’t take long for anyone to see the potential.

Even in the Wildcats’ misfortunes last year, Ma’Jon finished his freshman season with 176 yards and a touchdown on 15 receptions.

However, after the team went 0-5 and fired Kevin Sumlin, the coaching change created a bit of uncertainty for Wright and his future in Tucson.

As a result, Wright would initially put his name in the transfer portal, only to take his name out, and then re-enter the portal, transferring to Middle Tennessee State.

Well, after spending a semester at Middle Tennessee State, Wright decided to come back to Arizona again despite his future being undetermined.

Following a bit of uncertainty, Ma’Jon Wright is officially returning to Arizona Football and will be eligible for the upcoming season.

Making news via social media, 247Sports Editor Jason Scheer confirmed that Ma’Jon is indeed coming back for this season which is a huge win for Jedd Fisch and the Wildcats.

As we stated before, Wright has a lot of potential, and he is one of the few proven downfield threats for the Wildcats. He is a long and lengthy kid with good size and speed, and with the Wildcats offense still in question, he could be a key piece to Arizona’s offensive success.

I imagine he will be a key focal point of the offense this season, and regardless of who is under, look for Ma’Jon to have a solid year.
