With the 2021 Arizona Football season just around the corner, Wildcats kicker Lucas Harvirsik has made the Pac-12 preseason all-conference team.

The football action is beginning to heat up in Tucson, and while the preseason expectations of Arizona Football are not very high this season, one bright spot will be on Wildcat kicker, Lucas Havrisik.

Now a senior, Lucas was the kicker that came to Tucson from Norco High School in Riverside, CA back in 2017, and ever since joining the Wildcats, he has been one of the better players on special teams for Arizona.

In his career, Lucas has appeared in 42 games making 25 of 39 field attempts, even going a career-best 6-7 last year with a long of 51 yards. Lucas even tied the school record for the longest field goal made, hitting a 57-yarder against Washington State back on October 28, 2017.

Lucas’ 85.7% field goal percentage was good for 16th best in college football last year, and more impressive is that the big leg from Norco also had 17 of his 21 kickoffs go for a touchback.

Because of his growth on special teams, Arizona Football kicker Lucas Havrisik enters the season having made the Pac-12 preseason all-conference team.

For quite some time, Arizona Football and special teams have not been synonymous with each other, however, Lucas is quickly changing that perception.

Since coming to Tucson, he has been a solid kicker for the Wildcats, and once again he should be one of the bright spots there for Arizona.

Making news via social media just ahead of the Pac-12 Media Day, Lucas was named second-team Preseason All-Pac-12 for special teams, and he is also the only Wildcat that was named to a preseason team.

While I’m sure coach Jedd Fisch and Arizona would have had better representation on the preseason list, the good news is that the Wildcats can only go up from here!
