Arizona Football players Anthony Pandy and Stanley Berryhill III were naturals on Tuesday, July 27th at the Pac-12 Media Day held in Hollywood.

Appearing in the annual Pac-12 Media Day along with their head coach Jedd Fisch and others, Wildcats Stanley Berryhill III and Anthony Pandy flew on a private jet to Los Angeles ending up at the W Hollywood Hotel on Hollywood Blvd and Vine to talk Arizona Football.

The two Wildcats (Pandy a senior LB, and Berryhill a redshirt Junior WR) gave us so much insight and fun quotes we couldn’t fit it all into one article, but it is featured in the video from ‘In The Front Row’ below.

The Arizona Wildcats were the 11th team to be presented and interviewed, to which Coach Fisch quipped, “Good afternoon, everybody. Guess I’m second to last, which is what you guys normally rank me anyway, so it’s a good start to Pac-12 Media Day (laughter). Excited to be here.” And that was just the beginning!

Coach Fisch had the longest interview of the coaches and provided the most informative commentary of all the Pac-12 coaches in attendance, with USC Head Coach Clay Helton perhaps coming in a close second.

Berryhill and Pandy, as Coach Fisch reminded us, were two players who decided to stay at the UofA instead of transferring out. And you can understand why after listening to the two explain what life is like in the reimagined Arizona Football program. On Tuesday, they were all smiles, but also serious when appropriate.

From talking, one thing was clear from the both of them, that Stanley and Anthony both miss a full Zona Zoo. Luckily, their head coach seems to have an answer on how to fix that! Fisch has some new traditions he is planning on rolling out this college football season to make the games a four-hour party. He also plans on keeping some old traditions like the ‘Cat Walk’ which he has dreamed of taking part in.

The players couldn’t say enough great things about their coaches. Especially Ricky Hunley and Chuck Cecil which they have special relationships with, but especially how emotional, in a good way, these legends and Hall of Famers are when forming relationships with players.

Berryhill explained that Coach Fisch is like a “kid in a candy store” and “He made football fun again.” Pandy added, “We want to play for him [Fisch] — We have chemistry — There’s no ego’s anymore, we are together.”

“Everyone’s engaged and making everyone want to play — It’s family orientated it feels like in a sense — Even though I am not from Tucson, people there welcome me,” explained Pandy.

Honestly, we don’t see anything to complain about, the coach is ecstatic, the players feel respected, cared for, and they are learning about life, business, and what playing on a team for a great school with tons of pride is all about. There are many more tidbits and one-liners in the full interview below.

Please excuse the filming of Coach Fisch’s remarks, there were so many media folks pushing us around, it was hard to keep it steady. The players part is easy to watch:

If you want to see Coaches full remarks you can see them here titled, “Arizona Head Coach charms in his press conference”:

Coach Fisch says he has always dreamed of walking off the team bus for the Cat Walk, as well as make the football games “As much fun as humanly possible.” We’re here for it coach and we can’t wait for the season to start.
