With Arizona Basketball and Tommy Lloyd hitting the recruiting trail hard, the Wildcats have made the Top 5 for five-star Shooting Guard, Shaedon Sharpe.

Arizona Basketball head coach Tommy Lloyd has been on the job for nearly four months now, and already he has been hitting the recruiting trail hard, one of his main targets being Shaedon Sharpe.

A talented and athletic five-star guard/wing in the class of 2022, Sharpe is the No. 6 overall player in the class out of Dream City Christian in Glendale, AZ with offers from virtually everyone.

Well, on Sunday afternoon, Shaedon took to social media to announce his final five destinations of where he will play in 2022, and on that list were our beloved Wildcats.

Along with Arizona on the list are Kentucky, Kansas, Oklahoma State, and the NBA G-League, a more popular option for recruits of recent, recruits can essentially bypass college, and play for one year in the G-League before being draft-eligible.

While there’s no guarantee that Shaedon Sharpe comes here, seeing Arizona Basketball and Tommy Lloyd recruiting well is a positive sign for the Wildcats.

Even though Kentucky presumably leads based on 247Sports’ Crystal Ball predictions, if Shaedon were to come to Arizona, it would be one heck of a pull for Lloyd and the Wildcats.

At 6-feet-4-inches and 175 pounds, Sharpe is a lengthy and talented wing with great athleticism and bounce. He’s good in off-ball situations, with a great first step, and does a great job at slashing and getting to the bucket.

He plays through contact and can finish around the rim, possessing great explosiveness overall. Shaedon has an okay shot and can hit from outside, however, he’s not quite a pure shooter. He could still improve in those areas, but overall, he is a talented player with a high upside that should be make a solid pro player.

Here’s a highlight of the five-star wing!
