Continuing to gain momentum in the recruiting class for 2022, Arizona Football has picked up another commitment, this time from three-star TE, Tyler Powell.

Things are heating up on the recruiting trail for Jedd Fisch and Arizona Football as the Wildcats have received yet another commitment in the recruiting class of 2022 on Friday, this time from in-state three-star tight end, Tyler Powell.

Announcing his commitment via social media, the star tight end from just up the road at Brophy College Preparatory in Phoenix, AZ picked the Wildcats over offers from Florida State, Auburn, Arizona State, UCLA, and Iowa State among others.

Making his decision official, Tyler becomes the 14th commitment in the class, and he is the second tight end taken by Arizona as he joins fellow tight end commit, Keyan Burnett.

Coming in at a towering 6-feet-7-inches and weighing 240 pounds, Tyler is a big kid with tremendous size and length. Plus, his commitment really emphasizes the fact that the Wildcats are putting a big focus on using and building depth at the tight end position.

Overall, this is a nice addition for Arizona Football, and the commitment of Tyler Powell has the Wildcats trending upwards.

When Arizona hired coach Fisch, he desperately wanted to recruit and emphasize the use of tight ends more, and already he has been prioritizing the position. Tyler is considered to be the No. 18 overall player in the state of Arizona and the No. 72 overall player for his position.

On film, he is a mismatch waiting to happen. He is a good athlete with great length and size, and if utilized correctly, he could be a good downfield and end zone threat.

Overall, he has good hands and possesses great versatility, and with his addition, the Wildcats will get a player that excels both in receiving and blocking capacities.
