With Arizona Football inching closer and closer to the start of the season, the Wildcats have added another late piece in former Central Michigan DL, Mohamed Diallo.

Coming into 2021, it is evident that Arizona Football needs all the help they can get if they are going to turn things around, especially for a program that is currently riding a 12-game losing streak. That is why they have added former Central Michigan defensive lineman, Mohamed Diallo.

If you have been paying attention to the action in fall camp so, the Wildcats are currently a little banged up along the defensive line, but it shouldn’t be too serious, and it is quite possible that Arizona will be fine by week one.

Currently, we’ve seen Eddie Siaumau-Sanitoa, JB Brown, Dion Wilson, and Paris Shand out in recent practices, as they all recover from minor injuries. Nonetheless, adding more depth and talent even at this stage isn’t a bad thing for the Wildcats.

Making news via social media on Sunday evening 247Sports editor Jason Scheer announced that Jedd Fisch and Arizona have added Diallo.

A former standout defensive lineman from Central Michigan, Mohamed Diallo comes to Arizona Football with an opportunity to contribute immediately.

Standing a massive 6-feet-4-inches and weighing 305 pounds, Diallo is a big body along the defensive line that Arizona desperately needs, and comes in with a bit of college experience.

Having played in just eight games with the Chippewas, Diallo has accumulated 23 tackles (13 solo), 10.0 tackles for loss, and 3.0 sacks. Those 3.0 sacks all came last season in four games with Central Michigan.

While I imagine defensive coordinator Don Brown will want to use a deep rotation along the defensive line, adding a player like Diallo is going to give the Wildcats another solid piece that is going to create disruption in the backfield.

If there is one area that the Wildcats have struggled the most in the past 5-10 years or so, it is lacking a decent pass rush. Hopefully, with the players, Arizona has this year, and with the addition of Diallo, the Wildcats will be more than serviceable there this year.
