With five-star shooting guard Shaedon Sharpe set to commit next Tuesday, we look at the chances that he picks Arizona Basketball.

Arizona Basketball and Tommy Lloyd continue to hit the recruiting trail hard for 2022 and beyond, and as five-star guard Shaedon Sharpe is set to commit, we take a look at the chances the Wildcats have in landing him.

It was just last week that Arizona had the Dream City Christian shooting guard, and Canadian native on campus for an official visit, which in recruiting is always a big deal, because your chances always improve when the kids actually come to campus.

So with Shaedon Sharpe setting his commitment date for next Tuesday, we breakdown the chances he picks Arizona Basketball.

Fresh off his official visit to Tucson, Sharpe seems poised and ready to make his college announcement as we all learned on Wednesday afternoon.

And with offers from Kansas, Kentucky, Arizona, and Oklahoma State among several offers, just about everyone is hoping to land the Arizona wing, which makes this a particularly tough recruitment.

For those that don’t know, Shaedon is considered the No. 4 overall player in the class for 2022 and his recruitment is national. For coach Lloyd and Arizona to be in the Top 5 is a good sign for the Wildcats for the future.

Right now, Arizona’s chances of landing Mr. Sharpe are low, as just about every major college basketball analyst or pundit from 247Sports is picking Kentucky at this point, garnering eight crystal ball picks.

However, the silver lining is again the ground the Wildcats made up in just a matter of a few months.

Look, I understand, the perception is that we are Arizona, and we’ve grown accustomed to landing some of the best players in the country, but remember, in recruiting relationships matter, and Lloyd is kind of running behind in some recruitments as he has only been on the job for about five months.

Outside of that, the Wildcats still have a lot of uncertainty with the whole IARP situation with the NCAA sorting itself out. Things will correct, just be patient for now!
