Continuing to find success on the recruiting trail, Arizona Football has added three-star linebacker Tyler Martin for the class of 2022.

Despite the rough start for Arizona Football on the gridiron, the Wildcats are still finding success on the recruiting trail as they secured a commitment from three-star linebacker, Tyler Martin (Buckingham Browne & Nichols School – Acton, MA).

Making news via social media on Thursday afternoon, Tyler officially committed to the Wildcats despite holding offers from Michigan, Nebraska, Arkansas, Virginia, and Syracuse among several others.

Considered to be a Top 500 player and the No. 51 linebacker in the class of 2022, this is another big recruiting win for head coach Jedd Fisch and the Wildcats!

Tyler stands a massive 6-feet-3-inches and weighs over 230 pounds, and he is a big bruising linebacker that becomes the 16th commitment in the class. His addition helps to bolster a defense that is in desperate need of more talent and depth.

Joining eight other defensive commitments, Tyler Martin will have an opportunity to make an immediate impact with Arizona Football.

Coming in, Fisch needed to upgrade or beef up virtually every position with the roster, and so far, he hasn’t been shy about going out and competing with the bigger schools to find talent. And the commitment of Tyler is emblematic of the success Arizona has seen on the recruiting trail so far.

With the addition of Tyler, Arizona now ranks 37th overall in the country, and sports the No. 4 recruiting class in the deep and talented Pac-12. Impressively enough, all this has been done despite the Wildcats having a current 14-game losing streak.

What are the Wildcats getting with Tyler?

Tyler is a big and talented kid with plenty of strength, athleticism, and upside. He is a kid that projects mostly as an inside linebacker and would be best used inside the box.

Tyler plays big and physical and is an intelligent player that plays efficiently and smart. He isn’t the quickest or fastest kid, but he reads the play well and reacts, and gets to the ball carrier to make the play!
