The Arizona Baseball, Arizona Football, and Arizona Women’s and Men’s Basketball teams are on TikTok and you must follow them!

TikTok is addicting, let’s just put that out there as a caution. As I do several times a day like I am sure some of you reading may as well, scroll through the “For You” TikTok feed. Well, I popped on, only to see some familiar faces and a beautiful cardinal, white, and blue Arizona /A\. To my delight, it was the Arizona Baseball team!

My first thought was how did TikTok know I wanted to see this post? Then I remembered, I follow the Arizona Women’s Basketball team, and as I was enjoying them so much already, ‘hearting’ their posts, commenting, and sharing to several other social media platforms, I am now an official Arizona Wildcats fan on TikTok!

While it’s all in the algorithm, little did I know, this content came directly from @tcasa13 (Tyler Casagrande’s) TikTok account, and I had missed so much!

Casagrande recently considered transferring when his previous head coach took another job, but then Arizona hired Chip Hale, and Tyler decided to stay, much to fans elation.

Tyler is a career .208 hitter (one home run and 11 RBI’s in 72 at-bats). Our site expert Eric Townsend wrote, “Last season was easily his best as Tyler ended the year with a respectable .244 batting average, a home run, and seven RBI’s in 41 at-bats.”

Personally, I was very happy when I heard the news, as continuity is everything and Casagrande is a fantastic young man and talented baseball player. He also happens to have a great sense of humor.

I had seen many other teams jump on and post a funny trend, like the Los Angeles Rams, and other NFL teams and college basketball teams have done so as well. And one of the funniest videos I saw included a player going through the locker room and asking his teammates, “ Who would not let date your daughter?”

Mind you, the players are not sitting in a circle answering this question, they are scattered around the Baseball facility and locker room. Maybe they are getting an acupuncture treatment, sitting in front of their locker, walking out to the field, eating, or walking down the hall. They are all happy to answer even if they are caught off guard.

With each of these answers, another trend tends to take place: The majority of players name one or two players for the most part. Like it’s well known on the team who is a “player” when it comes to interacting with the opposite sex. One of the most popular players mentioned by his teammates, don’t worry I won’t give it away, is also asked. And he doesn’t name himself but names the other most frequently named player. So funny.

So, I delved into more of Tyler’s posts on TikTok, and he asked players who their Vegas dream team was (name three players you want to go to Vegas with). You’ll never guess who made a lot of the players’ lists. Yes, the same players who they wouldn’t let date their daughter. Hilarious! The team also participates in their version of dancing in sync.

With the Arizona Women’s Basketball team, they are very creative, they are great dancers and have a lot of fun together. Coach Adia Barnes gets in on the action as well. Sam Thomas has an account as well, and she shared funny moments with the team all the way through the Finals last year, you can follow Sam @samm_t14 .

In the meantime, we will challenge Baseball Head Coach Chip Hale to jump in on the action soon too!

Arizona Men’s Basketball also has an account as well, and you can follow them at @arizonambb. While writing this post I found and followed their account! And football too? Yes! Follow Arizona Football at @arizonafootball. My feed is going to be all Wildcats soon!

Do you remember the Arizona team who went to the College World Series and lost in the last inning in the final game? That team had a ton of chemistry and performed and documented many enjoyable videos.

I wonder if there is any statistic or correlation in baseball about a team who enjoys producing content and that being an indication of a great season coming up. If there isn’t, there should be, and Arizona would have to be near the top at this point.
