Arizona Football needs to break their ‘losers mentality’
With Arizona Football still winless in their last 19 games, the Wildcats have to break their ‘losers mentality’ and learn how to win.
They say it takes 21 days to make something a habit, and lately, for Arizona Football, it is almost a given that the Wildcats will lose every time they take the field, as it has been 752 days since they last won a football game.
And once again, the Wildcats are winless on the year and are facing a real possibility of going winless yet again for the second-straight season.
To make matters worse, Arizona Football could very well extend their nation’s longest active losing streak well into the 20s before they possibly win again.
And for those that have tortured themselves into watching Arizona Football these past couple of years, the journey ahead also appears to be a grueling one. The scheduling becomes far more daunting, and the program also slowly has to build back to a respectable level.
In short, optimism is waning among the fans, and it is leaving everyone, including the players, longing for more.
However, if Arizona Football is going to turn things around, this program desperately needs to break the ‘losers mentality’.
Indicative of the Wildcats’ struggles these past few years is the fact that this team has seemingly continued to find creative ways to lose football games, look no further than this past weekend. And somewhere along the way, the players have forgotten how to win games.
Arizona has more or less adopted a loser’s mentality, and in the teams’ press conference just days ago, head coach Jedd Fisch kind of addressed that, citing the teams’ dejection following the final Will Plummer interception against Washington.
If Arizona is going to pull themselves out of their funk, this team will need to find more ways to bear down and believe they are going to win.
