The 2021-22 Arizona Basketball season is finally here… well, kind of! On Monday even the Wildcats will unofficially kick off the start of the season with an exhibition matchup against Eastern New Mexico.
Coming in, there is a lot of intrigue surrounding the Wildcats. Arizona returns a decent contingency of talent from last years’ squad, however, the bigger story is the debut of head coach Tommy Lloyd.
Entering his first season with the Wildcats, Lloyd should have a competitive group, and all eyes will be on Arizona as fans get an early taste and preview of Arizona Basketball as they take on Division II foe, Eastern New Mexico.
The Wildcats will undoubtedly be heavy favored in this one, and should come away with the easy win here, so it’ll be hard to take too much away from this game. Nonetheless, basketball season is finally here, and Wildcat fans can collectively let out a long, sigh of relief.
