Arizona Football is now into week nine of the 2021 season, and with Jamarye Joiner doubtful this week, Will Plummer will have an even bigger role.

It has been quite the year for Arizona Football as the Wildcats have dealt a ton of adversity, and a myriad of injuries, the latest being Jamarye Joiner. So with Joiner being doubtful this week against Cal, the role and dependency on Will Plummer will be even greater.

Overall, last week was a relatively good week for Arizona Football. Granted, the Wildcats still lost to USC, however, it was a much better effort and performance from the team, as the Cats came within a few plays of getting their first win of the season.

And it is worth noting, that credit must be given to Plummer too for the Cats’ performance. He easily had his best week as a Wildcat, and following his gutsy performance, there were plenty of positives to take away. Without him playing well, Arizona isn’t even in that game, to begin with.

So with Jamarye Joiner out this week, Arizona Football desperately needs a replicated performance from Will Plummer this week.

Arizona is getting closer and closer to a win, but with the injuries that the Wildcats have sustained thus far, particularly at quarterback, the challenge in getting that ‘W’ becomes even greater moving forward.

Make no mistake, what Plummer did last week was great and all, but the concern that all Wildcat fans should at least have is whether or not he can carry that success over into this week.

Don’t get me wrong, Arizona did a great job in scoring 34 points (six off of a turnover), and there were a lot of positives from that game, but you just hope that it continues against Cal.

Either way, Plummer is going to be depended on a lot this week too, and you hope he is ready and answers the call because he surely showed his potential last week.

If Arizona can get similar production out of him and the offense, their chances of winning improve significantly.
