TUCSON, AZ – Playing their first game in 2021 ranked, No. 17 Arizona Basketball (6-0, 0-0) steamrolled Sacramento State (3-3, 0-0) in their 105-59 win.

Arizona Basketball entered Saturday night’s game against Sacramento State as the No. 17 team in the country and hadn’t played a game since the week before when they throttled then No. 4 ranked Michigan to win the Roman Main Event.

However, even despite the extra media attention and time off, it didn’t affect the Wildcats as Arizona still came away with the dominant, 105-59 win over the visiting Hornets.

Led behind the play of their bench who outscored their starters 53 to 52, it was truly a complete game for the Wildcats from start to finish.

Pelle Larsson would have his best game yet as a Wildcat, finishing with 17 points and three rebounds on 6-7 shooting, and his strong play was refreshing to see, as he may now be coming into his own!

Beyond him, Christian Koloko continued his dominant play once again, scoring 20 points and grabbing seven rebounds, while Azuolas Tubelis looked spectacular, leading all scorers with 22 points and grabbing six rebounds.

Arizona Basketball started fast against Sacramento State eventually cruising to the 46-point victory to remain unbeaten.

Coming into this game, there was some intrigue as to how the Wildcats would play and respond after jumping up to No. 17 in the rankings after previously being unranked. Luckily, it seemed to have no impact as Arizona jumped out to a 26-10 lead in the first 10 minutes of the game.

Arizona continued their strong play as they looked sharp, never seemingly looking back as they eventually expanded their lead to 47-22 at the half, and then outscored the Hornets in the second half 58-37, pacing themselves to the 105-59 victory.

With the win, Arizona improves to 6-0 on the year and will have a short break before they return to action next Thursday as they begin Pac-12 play against the Washington Huskies (4-4, 0-0).
