After coaching just one season at Arizona Football, linebacker coach Keith Dudzinski is leaving Tucson to join Don Brown at UMass.

Continuing their busy off-season, Arizona Football is experiencing more changes to their coaching staff as linebacker coach Keith Dudzinski is officially leaving the Wildcats for UMass after spending just one season in Tucson.

Joining former Arizona Defensive Coordinator Don Brown at Massachusetts, the news of Keith’s departure was announced on Tuesday evening by WildcatAuthority’s Jason Scheer, and the coaching transition signifies that more changes are soon coming to Tucson.

While the news is a little surprising, it isn’t entirely shocking, after all, Coach Dudzinski had a strong connection to coach Brown before coming to Tucson, and with Brown leaving, it seemed almost a given that he would likely be gone too.

For those that maybe didn’t know, Dudzinski and Brown had a little overlap while coaching at UMass as Brown was previously the head coach from 2004-08, while Dudzinski was the Defensive Coordinator from 2004-10.

And after just one season in Tucson, Arizona Football will have to move quickly to replace linebacker coach Keith Dudzinski.

Head coach Jedd Fisch and Arizona have already had a busy off-season as they hired UCLA’s Johnny Nansen to replace coach Brown just days ago, but now the Wildcats will need to get to quick work as they look to bring in another positional coach on defense.

The Wildcats would be wise to move quickly here since there has been a lot of coaching turnover in College Football already, and Arizona Football doesn’t need to be competing for coaches by taking their time here.

As Arizona Daily Star’s Michael Lev indicated, the Wildcats could even have a replacement this week!

To me, this suggests that Fisch perhaps knew this was coming and was preparing for the impending change. Either way, we are curious to see which direction the Wildcats go here!
